Council on Aging has established a Speaker’s Bureau to provide access to knowledgeable individuals who can present interesting information about issues that impact or could impact the quality of life of our older adult population.  It’s also a great way to learn more about Council on Aging!

Here are some ways that our Speaker’s Bureau may be useful:

  • Educate your business, organization, club or association on issues that are impacting or could impact the quality of life for our aging population.
  • Learn about the skills, tools, and information necessary to advocate for changes to improve quality of life and create a senior-friendly* community.
  • Understand Council on Aging, it’s mission, vision, services and goals to support the aging population in our community, their families and caregivers, people who provide them services, and to transform Charlotte-Mecklenburg into a senior-friendly* community.

For more information about topics currently available, to discuss development of a customized presentation and to schedule a speaker, please contact Katie Kutcher, Education Program Manager, 704.391.5216, ext. 205 or email .

*A senior-friendly community allows aging adults
to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
